Heartland Sectional Set for March 15-17, 2002
Team Representatives,
The Heartland Sectional Tournament is scheduled for March 15th, 16th & 17th at the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign. The games will be played in the IMPE building on two courts of a four-court gym. The facility will be secured at night, so equipment can remain. The schedule will be published at a later date.
Classification will be Friday morning at the host hotel. Those needing classification will be notified. There will be a meeting of team representatives to discuss matters of concern to quad rugby, specifically in the Heartland. I request that you please send to me topics for discussion, so that we all might have the opportunity to communicate these ideas to our players and be able to get together with some prepared thought. If possible, I will set an informal agenda to expedite the process. Some topics all ready presented for consideration are - have " each team commit a date to have a local tournament", consider " who will host regions and sections next year" and " try to figure out a more efficient way of communicating with our specs committee...". In the north region we are having a difficult time playing enough games to keep our referees certified. We have a few weeks to get some pertinent ideas mulled over.

Rate: $69.00 + 11% tax ($76.59/night)
There are 21 w/c accessible rooms available, so please limit your
reservations to two accessible rooms per team. The other rooms are fairly
easy to get around in. If you make reservations as a team, have a list of
the people for room assignments.
The room block expires February 22nd, so do NOT DELAY in placing your reservations.
