October 17, 2001
Dear Quad Rugby Fans,
The 12th Annual Valdosta Cup Quad Rugby Tournament will take place on
November 30th - December 2nd, 2001 in Valdosta, Georgia. This year's event
is sponsored in part by Sportaid and
Lowndes County Parks and Recreation.
The 2001 Valdosta Cup will be an eight-team, two-pool tournament. Each
team must be registered with the USQRA in order to be eligible to compete.
The first eight teams that respond with their completed registration forms
and roster will be accommodated. More teams than we can handle have
expressed an interest in attending so you are encouraged to act quickly.
Please read over the enclosed materials and respond back with your
intentions ASAP. If you should have any questions you can contact me at
(561) 969-1970, or by email at jbishop@quadrugby.com
See you soon in Valdosta!

The Valdosta Cup is open to all USQRA registered teams, but preference is
given to those that can drive there. Both experienced teams and new clubs

can book you at their other property for the same rate if full. Ask
reservations at the time you call if Lake Park is sold-out.

Friday's pool-play games will be split up using two locations. On Saturday
and Sunday all games will be played at the South Lowndes Recreation
Center, which is a single court gym. Maps will be provided as soon the
schedule is ready.

Play will begin at 2:30 PM on Friday and should conclude by 3 PM
on Sunday. Some meals will be served on-site at no cost.

We hope to have a small classification panel and clinic in Valdosta.
If you have players that need to be classified or looked at please email
Lauren Rosen at ptlauren@aol.com
Registration:
To register complete the registration form and team roster and return
it right away. You can e-mail it to jbishop@quadrugby.com or use the
address or fax listed below.
Payment:
Payment is due in full by November 15th, 2001. Please make your checks
payable to John Bishop and mail them to the address below.
Note:
The Valdosta Cup provides a great opportunity to introduce new players
and teams to our sport. If you have people interested in becoming referees
or classifiers please let me know. We will try to schedule appropriate
training over the weekend if there is enough interest.
