1st Annual Heat Rave Wheelchair Rugby Tournament
December 6-8, 2002 - Tempe AZ.

Dear Team Representatives,

The 1st Annual Heat Rave Wheelchair Rugby Tournament which is a D1- D2 open will be held on December 6-8, 2002 in Tempe AZ. The eye filling campus of ASU, which was rated in Playboy the #1 party school in the USA. The hotel, Twin Palms is located within a short push from Mill Ave. where the second largest New Years Eve Party is held. Mill Ave and the ASU campus will not disappoint for fun and hotties. This years tournament will feature eight teams. Listed below is important information that will assist you planning for your team.

Tournament Information

Cost
The registration fee is $400. per team unless your team brings a ref and then you will receive a $50.00 discount. All payments are due by November 25, 2002 all checks must be made out to APVA and sent to 6740 E. Presidio rd. scottsdale AZ. 85254. Any questions or problems contact me.

Gym
All games will be played in the Student Recreation Center which is the new gym where the entire student body goes to swim, workout, and lounge. The SRC also has a juice/deli bar. NO STICK'EM IS ALOUD!

Times
Play will begin at 10:30 am friday morning and should conclude by 3:00 pm on sunday

Food,Food
Yes, we will have lots of food we do not mess around when it comes to feeding players and staff anyone else its $5.00

Hotel
The hotel is located less than a block from the gym and two blocks from Mill AVE. Rates are $79.00 a night and i have reserved a 70 room block just mention Heat Rave Rugby the # (480) 967-9431

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation will be provided on Thursday and Sunday only! Please try to have everyone together for less confusion. If that is a problem a cab is less than $10.00 to the hotel.

There will be no classifieres.

Note
The Heat Rave is a great opportunity to come to AZ hang out by the pool at the SRC on the campus of ASU and play some great rugby. Its also a perfect chance for some new player to get some playing time. If time allows we plan to do some mixed team games.
