USQRA Hall of Fame member is Super Special to these Kids

USQRA Hall of Famer Angelo Mongiovi shares the holiday spirit

USQRA Hall of Famer, Angelo Mongiovi shares his Christmas Spirit with the Kids

Angelo Mongiovi, inducted this past year to the Quad Rugby Hall of Fame, has for several years been a champion of another sort.  As a Church of Scientology Volunteer Minister, accompanied by a group of carolers and a bag full of gifts, he plays Santa in his competition wheelchair, visiting children who themselves are bound to wheelchairs at the Rusk Memorial Institute in Manhattan, and most recently  at Children's Specialized Hospital in New Jersey.

Not only does he cheer up the children, he cheers up the parents who are there, as well, and sometimes need it as much as the kids.  Angelo quotes Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard: "A being is as valuable as he can serve others."  "To see some of these kids smile," he says, "is the sweetest thing you could ever want to do."
