1998 Team USA Rugby Announced

Congratulations go out to all of the athletes that participated in the 1998 Team USA tryouts held December 5-7th. Forty of the nations best came together in West Palm Beach, Florida in an effort to make the final cut and be part of the 1998 National Team. The twelve athletes selected will represent the United States at World Championships in Toronto next June. Watch for a story and photos on QRC in the near future.

1998 - Team USA tryouts announced

West Palm Beach, Florida - The South Florida Rattlers wheelchair rugby team is pleased to announce that they will host national tryouts for the wheelchair rugby team that will represent the United States at the 1998 World Championships.

More than 40 of the countries top wheelchair rugby athletes will be invited to South Florida on December 12-14, 1997 for an intense three day workout and selection process. If you would like to be considered for tryouts you need to have your coach contact your RAC with their recommendation. All expenses associated with tryouts are the responsibility of the athlete.

Those players selected for Team USA will compete at World Championships in Toronto Canada June 20-28, 1998. Best of luck to everyone that is invited to tryout.
