Dear Team Representative:

This is a quick note to give you some more information about our tournament. I am including a game schedule, directions and some other details. Unfortunately, BC is unable to make it to the tournament so we are left with only seven teams. This means that some teams will only play four games while others will play five. It also means that one team will not play on Sunday. I apologize now for this but it could not be avoided with the odd number of teams. We should have a very competitive tournament as it is and I am looking forward to some good rugby.

Teams that are flying in will be met at baggage claim. When you arrive, you will notice that the Portland Airport is under construction which means our vans cannot drive up to the terminal. The person who meets you at baggage claim will lead you to the vans. It will be a short push but it will be covered in case of rain. The weather has been windy and cold so dress accordingly.

The tournament will be held at Reynolds Middle School in Gresham. You will be able to leave your playing chairs at the gym. Please remember to clean up after yourselves before leaving each evening and to treat the school with respect so that we’ll be welcomed back next year.

Directions to the Silver Cloud Inn

From North of Portland: Go South on I-205, take the Airport Exit (#24) after crossing the Columbia River. Turn left at first light (go East, under the freeway), turn left at 2^nd light (Glenn Widing Drive). The hotel is located behind the Shilo Inn.

From South of Portland: Go North on I-205, take the Airport Way exit (#24B) and go East. Go to 1^st light (Glenn Widing Drive) and turn left. The hotel is located behind the Shilo Inn.

Directions to Reynolds Middle School

From Hotel: Turn left out of hotel parking lot, turn left at light onto Airport Way. Follow Airport Way for approximately 10 minutes. Go under I-84 and go to 2^nd light (Halsey). Make a left onto Halsey, follow Halsey to 201^st Ave. The school is on the corner of Halsey and 201^st. Go across 201^st and make a right into the parking lot on Halsey. The gym entrance is on that side of the school.

From Seattle/I-205: Take I-205 South to I-84 East, take the 181^st Ave exit. Take a right at the light, then a left at the next light onto Halsey. Follow Halsey to 201^st Ave. The school is on the corner of Halsey and 201^st. Go across 201^st and make a right into the parking lot on Halsey. The gym entrance is on that side of the school.
