The USQRA is proud to recognize two of its members that stood out from the crowd this past season. Both of these people lead by example and are excellent role models for others to follow.

Angie Seals of Spokane, Washington was awarded the 1999 Spirit of Achievement Award for her unselfish dedication Angie Seals at workto the sport of Quad Rugby. She is closely involved with helping to keep our Classification Committee well organized, and also offers her expertise as a physical therapist and trainer to all athletes for the asking. Angie exemplifies what the Spirit of Achievement award is all about.

Rick Draney in redThe 1999 Athlete of the Year Award was presented to Rick Draney of San Diego, California. Rick is a class 2.5 rugby player with Sharp Shadow. He has played an intricate role in helping guide his team to 3-consecutive National Championships in 1996, 1997 and 1998. Rick's athletic skills have been demonstrated not only on the rugby court, but also on tennis courts around the world.

We are honored to have Angie and Rick as a part of our organization, and congratulate them both on their awards.
