10th Annual Valdosta Cup
November 19-21, 1999

The "10th Annual Valdosta Cup" has been confirmed for November 19-21, 1999 in Valdosta, Georgia. The tournament is sponsored in part by Sportaid, and is open to all teams, however, there is no transportation or local host so everyone is responsible for themselves once they get to Valdosta. We will provide the gyms, officials, some food, the "Valdosta Cup," and a heck of a good time.

Play will once again take place at the Boys Club facilities. Both gyms have tile floors, and are located approximately 10 minutes from each other. Play is expected to begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, and should conclude by 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

This tournament provides a great opportunity to introduce new players to the sport. Also, if you have people interested in becoming certified referees or classifiers, have them study up and be prepared to work some games. We need additional classifiers and officials in our section.

Registration Fees are as follows: (per team)
$200.00 - Just show up and play.
$150.00 - Bring 1 certified referee
$100.00 - Bring 1 certified referee + 1 additional person that will work the scorers tables.
Note: Fees collected will be used to pay certified referees, and other costs associated with the tournament. Make checks payable to John Bishop, and put "Valdosta Cup" in the memo area.

Hotel: The host hotels are the Holiday Inn, and Fairfield Inn, both located at I-75 and exit #5. A special group rate of $51 per night, double, has been secured. You must book your rooms by Friday, October 30th, as space is limited on the lower floor. Phone (912) 242-3881, or (912) 244-1822.
