Millennium CHEERS
Greetings Rugby Fans,
The new century has begun, and I'm pleased to report that Quad Rugby
Central has survived the Y2K changeover without a glitch. The years of
testing, and thousands of dollars we've spent on preparation have all paid
off to assure uninterrupted service here at your favorite website. Unlike
other websites, QRC can run on hamster power if necessary.
Now that the holidays are past, I've finally gotten around to putting
up several new articles and other things that I have procrastinated on. I apologize
for the delay in getting items such as the latest USQRA
Newsletter, and
the Team
USA Tryouts
story to you. I prefer to provide information in a timely
manner here, but obviously dropped the ball on these.
It's once again time to cast your votes for the USQRA
Athlete of the Year and
Spirit of Achievement awards.
Nomination ballets can be found in the online File
Library,
and the latest Newsletter.
I will also be mailing ballets out to tournament hosts, and asking them to
distribute them at their events. Please take a moment to vote for those
people that you feel are worthy of national recognition.
Dates
and locations for the USQRA National Championships are now set. We are working
to finalize the dates and locations for Regional and Sectional Playoffs, and
will post that information on the Rugby
Calendar
as it becomes available. There are still some areas that need post-season
tournament hosts. Contact the secretaries office at (630) 960-5588 if you
would like to hold one of these important events.
As
this website is updated,
you will find most changes
noted on the Recent
Changes page. Check it
now as there are other new updates not listed here.
Another good source of information is on Rugby
Talk, which
I would like to see used more responsibly by
its users this year.
If
your looking for something here and don't know where to find it, check out
the
blue column on the left side of the Home Page. Most resources can be found
from here, or you can try the Search
QRC link
found there. If all else fails, send me e-mail and I'll try and help you
out.
Well,
that's it for now. I hope you enjoy your visits
here to Quad Rugby Central, and wish you
all the very best in 2000. I always look forward to meeting people, so if
you see me at a rugby event somewhere around the globe, come by and say
hello.
Cheers!
John
