2006 MILE HIGH MASSACRE
QUAD RUGBY TOURNAMENT
January 1, 2006
Dear Quad Rugby Team,
The Denver Harlequins invite you to the 2006 Mile High
Massacre Quad Rugby Tournament in Denver, Colorado. The tournament will be
held February 10,11,12 (Fri., Sat., Sun.) 2006 at Craig Rehabilitation
Center and Englewood Recreation Center. We will have 2 courts for an 8
team tournament.
REGISTRATION:
Each team must submit registration information and tournament fee of
$350 by January 20, 2006. Please complete the attached registration and

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hotel accommodations are available at the following Hotel.
Holiday Inn Lakewood - $59 “Wheelchair Rugby Rate”, Double Bed, Includes
Breakfast for 2. There are a limited number of handicap accessible rooms.
All double bedrooms have wide doors.

TRANSPORTATION:
Scheduled transportation to and from Denver International Airport and
your hotel will be provided. There will be scheduled transportation
between the gymnasium and the hotel. Transportation will be provided to
and from the airport on Thursday between noon-10 p.m. and Sunday
afternoon.
TEAM CHECK-IN:
The tournament check in will be at gymnasium before the games on
Friday, February 10, 2006.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:
Play has been tentatively scheduled as follows:
Friday, February 10 – 10:00 a.m..- 5 p.m.
Saturday, February 11 - 10:00 a.m.- 4:30p.m.
Sunday, February 12 - 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Award Ceremony - 1:30 p.m.
MEALS:
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to team
members and 2 support person (must be listed on roster) on Friday,
Saturday and Sunday.
T-SHIRTS/SOUVENIRS:
Teams are encouraged to sell their T-shirts and other souvenirs. Each
team/party wanting to sell items at the tournament must give one item to
the tournament to be used as door prizes.
VIDEO TAPING:
Video taping will be permitted with approval of the tournament
director and referees.
EQUIPMENT STORAGE:
Game chairs and equipment may be stored overnight in a secured
location at the gymnasium.
ENVIRONMENT:
Denver is 5200 feet (1 mile high) above sea level, and some visitors
may feel the effects of the altitude. We encourage you to drink plenty of
water to help you adjust to the altitude! The weather conditions at this
time of year can range from near 0 degrees with snow to sunshine and 70
degrees. Even though Denver experiences 300 plus days of sunshine and a
year, please be prepared for extremes.
