USQRA Atlantic Sectional Playoffs

March 10-13, 2006

Dear Team Representative,

The South Florida Rattlers and Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation's Therapeutic Recreation Section would like to congratulate you on advancing to the USQRA Atlantic Sectional Playoffs. This tournament will be held March 10-11, 2006 in beautiful West Palm Beach. The following teams will be in attendance: Hoveround Gunners, Tampa Generals, Magee Eagle, Casco Bay Navigators and the Denver Harlequins (transfer).

This tournament will be played at the West Jupiter Recreation Center, which is a single "sport court" facility. The gym is located at 6401 Indiantown Road in Jupiter, Florida. This is one mile east of I-95 on the northeast corner of Indiantown Road and Central Boulevard.

REGISTRATION – All participating teams must complete a registration and transportation form and return it to us by February 15th to Renata Watson at Rwatson@co.palm-beach.fl.us

HOTEL – The Holiday Inn Airport in West Palm Beach will be our host hotel. Rooms have been reserved under the name of Wheelchair Rugby Tournament. Please mention the group name and ask for the Special Rate of $159.00 per night, plus tax. Reservations MUST be made by February 13, 2006 to guarantee the rate and space. FLIGHTS - Palm Beach International Airport is your destination. Teams must arrive as a group no later than 9pm on Thursday, March 9 to guarantee transportation to the hotel. We will try to meet those arriving separately, but make no promises. Please schedule your flights accordingly. Airport transportation will also be provided on Sunday March 12. Anyone staying in Florida longer will be responsible for their own transportation

GROUND TRANSPORTATION - Daily transportation to the gym will be provided from the Holiday Inn.

VAN RENTAL - Come early or stay late. Accessible van rentals are available by calling Wheelchair Getaways at (800) 637-7577. Limited availability.

PLAYING SITE- Competition will take place at West Jupiter Recreation Center. The gym is air-conditioned and has a single full size sport court. Overnight storage for playing chairs is available in the gym at your own risk.

COACHES MEETING - Thursday evening if necessary.

START TIME - 10:00 AM on Friday, March 10, 2006. (Transfers begin at 8:30a.m)

END TIME - Play and Awards Ceremonies should be concluded by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Please schedule your departure accordingly.

PLAYING SCHEDULE - The schedule will be posted on the web as soon as it is available. USQRA rules apply.

FOOD- Lunch will be provided at the gym each day for players, coaches and support staff only.
